CORRECT NUTRITION

Improper diet – the predominance of fatty protein foods, smoked products, salted and canned foods in the diet is one of the main causes of the degeneration of the cells of the rectum epithelium in tumors of a malignant nature. Therefore, a rational diet can prevent rectal cancer or, at the very least, reduce the likelihood of its occurrence.

Although there is no one hundred percent anti-cancer diet, there are products that significantly reduce the risk.

Using more vegetable fiber – fresh vegetables and fruits, cereals, you can maintain the digestive system in a healthy state and exclude the occurrence of constipation and digestive disorders.

Diet, in which animal food predominates, has a negative impact on the entire digestive tract and in particular:

  • increases the concentration of bile and bile acids in the large intestine and rectum;
  • leads to a change in the intestinal microflora – it begins to dominate the putrefactive bacteria;
  • promotes the synthesis in the body of compounds that have carcinogenic properties.

Even if it is difficult to include fresh greens in the menu on a larger territory of Russia in winter, it is possible to eat foods such as zucchini, pumpkin, turnips, carrots and cabbage that can be stored without losing their useful properties for a long period .

These vegetables are the main suppliers of vitamins and microelements in the winter-spring period. Vitamins C, E, A, B and many trace elements prevent the formation of carcinogenic compounds and thus prevent the onset of malignant tumors. The organism also needs vegetable fats, in which polyunsaturated acids are present. It is advisable to include olive oil in the diet, filling them with salads.

Dairy products are also very useful, especially those containing live bacterial cultures. These microorganisms create a favorable digestive environment and prevent the occurrence of constipation, inflammation and other gastrointestinal disorders.

But the regular use of beer and strong alcoholic drinks, on the contrary, creates an additional risk for the formation of tumors in the large intestine and rectum, because alcohol irritates the epithelial tissues of the digestive tract.
